The trails are open!
225 club ticket sales are going slow. Half the tickets still remain to be sold. Its very important we sell every ticket this year, because the money raised is going into our Excavator fund for future payment. If you haven't received a packet yet to sell, or would like to purchase a ticket, please contact Brad Hilton at 315-298-3261
January 2005
Notice
Our President's son Stevie was in a bad automobile accident
on December 2nd. He is at the Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse in the Intensive
Care Unit. Stevie sustained many serious injuries and will most likely be in the
hospital for a long time. We are planning a Benefit for Stevie to help defray
the overwhelming costs. This Benefit is being held by a joint effort of our Club,
the Altmar Fire Dept. and the Williamstown Fire Dept. It will be held at the Williamstown
Fire Hall on Rt 13 in Williamstown on January 15, 2005 from 1 pm to 5 pm, Adults
Only. There will be raffles, 50/50 drawings, and live music. Anyone with questions
or who would like to donate may contact Jim Barnard at 298-5601. Any checks should
be made payable to the Oswego County ATV Club and sent to the Club address.
News
Our Vice President, Bill Wilk has resigned his office. We want to say how much
we appreciate all you have done for the Club, Bill, both as Vice President and
Trail Boss. We realize how hard it is to get workers for the different functions
and work details and you certainly put in a lot of time yourself which is very
much appreciated.
Bob Kennedy has agreed to take Vice President until our election of Officers
in April. Also, George Leitinger has agreed to fill Bob's position on the Board
of Directors until April. The Board has assigned Edwin (Junior) O'Neal as our
new Trail Boss.
As you will note, we have attached our Calendar of Events
for 2005. Our trails are supposed to open April 1st, however this will depend
on the mud and snow at that time. You will be advised in our March newsletter.
For your information, we have decided to go with a Bulk Mail Permit for the
newsletters. This was our first mailing with bulk mail. The email idea did not
work out too well. I got very little response plus most of the ones who did
respond were not able to open the attachment.
Tradshow, Crafters & Flea Market
As you will note from our
Calendar of Events, we are
planning a Tradeshow, Crafters & Flea Market this year. If it goes well, we will
probably make it an annual event. This will require a lot of work and we will
need to assign different jobs. The Townhouse in Williamstown has agreed to let
us hold this event in the large lot behind the Townhouse. We have enclosed applications
for "vendor spots" in this newsletter to our
Sponsors,
so that they may have an opportunity to reserve a spot early. If you desire to
participate, you should have your application back to us no later than February
15, 2005. When the posters and advertisements go out on this show, it will be
on a
FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE basis. There
will be more about this Trade Show in future newsletters.
